What do you do when you are retired and approaching seventy and you are full of youth and energy? For photography friend Faty it was an easy choice – become a model for commercials. For that you need a photo book to show your photogenic side for registering in a modelling agency. She asked me to accompany her to a professional photo studio where she had made an appointment. That turned out to be a highly inspiring opportunity for me, to see the workflow of an individual photoshoot.

Faty asked me to take photos of the work in progress. In the end I understood that to make a client feel at ease you need the skill of tensionless communication and a gentle suggesting of possible poses to take in a photo. This worked very well. We were impressed by the results of the photo sessions by this experienced portrait photographer.

I have mentioned this before, we are experiencing heatwaves since the last week of May. Only this week there is a little dip in temperature, staying around 30°C and hopefully September will take it down more, back to its own season, as long as that is comfortably below 30°C 🙂

The Calanques still look good in spite of the larger influx of summer guests but the National Park of Calanques monitor that things don’t go out of hand, fortunately it hasn’t. There has been a bit of rain and every bit helps to get Nature, Man, Flora and Fauna through this torrid season.
