Here it goes again, already before 10 O’clock it gets warm, but that is fake time 😉 because the authentic time is Nine. Is it midsummer already?, of course not, we’re just in the first week of June. In spite of this I have been enjoying early morning walks in the mountains, late afternoon walks in the city and Roland Garros tennis games on TV.

I become hopeful after reading something that points to progress, even if it is triggered by anger, or maybe because it is triggered by anger, when people conclude, at last, enough is enough ! Like the foundation of the uniquely named the Cockroach Janta Party of India. It is a political party that invites the lazy, the unemployed, those who are chronically online, and those who can rant professionally. It is a call to the well educated Youth who don’t see a future with their current government.

The Chief Justice made one day a remark about the unemployed youth, he called them cockroaches. That made the Indian Youth very angry. The new party got 22 million followers in one week. The anger is focused on years of political scandals, unemployment, and no real sight of a promising future – This country belongs not just to one party, but to all of us. This is a question of our future. Our future is getting ruined.

Things are much better when serious criticism is combined with a sense of humor but with honesty and true alternatives, after all one must also be able to laugh about the fake news and political falsehoods that try to fool people on a daily basis. 360 Million out of 1.4 billion people in India are between 15 and 29 years old. They are well educated, digitally smart and well connected and therefore expect a good future for themselves.

Something similar happened in 2024 in Bangladesh where the Youth toppled a corrupt regime, and in 2025 in Nepal where a former rapper is now the prime minister. Youth power can work when enough is enough and anger gets people moving toward the right direction. With other words, political parties are obliged to work for Everyone in society.
