Primavera : primo Latin – beginning ver/vas Sanskrit – to shine. And so it always feels like that when Spring comes around the corner, mostly sooner than anticipated even when the weather is telling something else like an ice cold wind blowing hard on the coast and through the city.

In a world of wars and uncertainty Nature appears stronger and sparks the beginning of a new season that expresses Beauty in all possible forms and colors and scents. An uplifting spectacle that goes to the core of true life, a recurring promise that after the darkness comes the Light.

In the city, terraces are open and visited for a time of quiet and of absorbing the rays of a gentle sun that give fresh hope when that core of well-being within is touched again. Of course we want something permanent, a well-being that is like an ever progressing Primavera 🙂

And even in Spring we get the daily warning on the UV Index and to use sun protection – while more than half of the world is ready to stop this destructive pollution of air, soil and water and the other, smaller, half does not think that is a good idea. How can these opposites ever meet?

On a bright morning, photography friend Faty and I visit the Jardin Botanique to discover how Spring is changing the garden. A new addition is the Pollen Trail that informs and raises public awareness about 24 allergenic plant species and the challenge of pollen allergies. Provided by a municipality that cares and educates its citizens.

There is such a thing like the World Spirit, a power that inspires, like Spring, every time when conditions turn dire, people rise to reject conflicting trends that are based on lies and destruction. There is always hope that once it will come to a worldwide Primavera breakthrough.
