Spotting a Fox

One of those rare nights in mid summer that there is rainfall, a blessing for man and Nature provided it is not destructive. Here in the arid Calanques it is very welcome, making the Flora instantly look fresh and delightful. Even the normally dry looking pine trees seem happy.

Half through my hike I suddenly see a thick tail slipping away from my path. A fox! Never seen a wild fox here before and they are known to come out only after dusk. Carefully I proceed in the hope to see more of the animal and after some patient waiting, there he is, behind a bush, looking at me. Not having a telelens this is all of the fox I get to see πŸ˜‰

The soft sunlight of the late afternoon makes the city park look at its best. The early evening creates a quiet atmosphere. Less talk. More presence. Everything and everyone feel at their best. That’s what Nature does, as long as we keep treasuring and protecting it.
